Pollinate

‘Pollinate’ by Beechworth Honey is a floral takeover to celebrate Australian Pollinator Week. It is based within the busy Beechworth Honey Concept Store in Beechworth. We are excited about inspiring people to encourage pollinators into their gardens by shining a spotlight on beautiful flowers and bees. ‘Pollinate’ will run for 3 weeks from the 1st to the 20th of November 2023.  ‘Pollinate’ has been creatively designed to showcase the mighty work bees do for pollination. It incorporates:

• ‘A doorway to Bees’ by Beechworth florist Gina Kromar; a crowd-stopping floral takeover of the main doorway into the shop.
• ‘From the Hives’ is an in-store activation featuring local florists creatively linking floral beauty to bees, gardens, and food. These sculptures give the featured florists an opportunity to show their creative flair in the design and construction of a unique shop display using a bee hive as a prop to highlight the importance of bees, flowers, and food. Customers will have the opportunity to vote for the 'people's choice'; the florist who has sparked awe of bees and an appreciation of bees, flowers, and food. 
• ‘A Window to Bees’ is a community posie display where community growers can bring their flowers into our store to be displayed around the live hive window.
• ‘Seeds for Bees’ is an in-store seed exchange we are launching to provide the opportunity for locals and visitors to exchange their homegrown seeds and shine a light on bees' importance in pollination and seed production. This will remain in-store to encourage the growing of bee friendly plants and the closer observation of bees and other pollinators in gardens and public spaces.

We will always be in awe of the role bees play in creating blooms that blossom through the incredible distribution of pollen from one flower to another that results in bloom events, the production of seeds and the incredible produce and food all of which is so important to our health and wellbeing.
