Have you ever wondered which plants attract which pollinators? Do you have a love of birds, or butterflies, native bees or beetles? Would you like to learn which native plants to put into your garden to attract your favourite pollinators? Did you know that some plants have unique relationships with their pollinators?
Long-time citizen scientist and macro photographer Tessa Barratt will be giving a fun and educational talk about which native plants attract which pollinators to the garden. She will be providing tips on plants that are suitable for the type of garden you have, how to increase pollinator diversity and how you too can contribute to citizen science just by observing the visitors to your own backyard.
This presentation is in support of Blue Mountains Wildplant Rescue in Katoomba where you can purchase endemic plants for your garden. The presentation is approximately 20-25 minutes followed by a Q&A. The nursery will also be hosting other events the same day, including a bee-hotel making workshop. A great day to come along!
The nursery has limited space so please register your attendance. Allocations will be on a first come, first serve basis until the event has reached capacity. Please register by emailing Tanya at bmwrskat@gmail.com
