Join this online event, with Julie from ACT for Bees and Other Pollinators and Fiona from the Canberra Environment Centre to celebrate Australian Pollinator Week, by learning ways to support our local pollinators by planting a 'flower feast' and ways to create healthy soil and manage pests in your garden.
Bees and other pollinators need our help, and there’s so much we can do in our own backyards! Learn about how to make your garden a haven for bees.
Join ACT for Bees and Other Pollinators to learn about the many different types of bees that live in Australia, and the types of flowers and gardens that they prefer. Along with Fiona who will educate you around the best type of soils and managing pests to support bee life in the garden.
While European bees are kept for their delicious honey, Canberra also boasts plenty of native bees that do important work as pollinators. Learn about both native bees and honey bees and how to create welcoming habitat for them in your backyard. In this workshop you’ll learn about how to create healthy soil to support plant growth and ways to manage pests.
ACT for Bees and Other Pollinators is a group that educates people about the importance of bees, especially their role in growing our food. They work to help people find ways to be 'Bee Friendly'!
